A rare and very finely enamelled cloisonne ewer (wine pot) made in the Beijing Imperial workshops, in the early 18th century, during the reign of either the Kangxi (1662-1722) or the Yongzheng (1723-1735) emperor..

Condition: very good but without its cover; there are very small chips and burst bubble holes to the surface of the enamels in places but no bumps or damage to the shape or to any of the wires; the gilding to the mouth is largely worn off but the gilding is still present on most of the base and wires.

10.5cm (4.3inches)high; 13cm (5.1inches) across.
