Only 1 left in stockA rare and unusually colourful, late Victorian, mother of pearl and abalone shell mounted desk stand comprising pen rest and amethyst glass ink bottles. This item was most probably made during the 1890s.
Condition: there is a chip to a triangular piece of mother of pearl directly to the left of the right ink bottle and there is very minor edge chipping to the shell decoration and the ink bottle mouths; one of the bun shaped amber coloured shell (?) feet has been replaced with a 1920s or 30s carved wooden button. There have been no additional repairs.

This dish or plate was made locally on the Liverpool south shore by the Herculaneum Pottery, Toxteth.
