A large silk satin fan, with sixteen gilt decorated wood "sticks", hand-painted depicting four birds amongst flowering prunus or cherry branches. This item is made with Chinese silk but was probably made in France and was retailed in Liverpool - unusually  complete with its original box which carries a dispatch date of 9th November 1898.

This item is in very good unused condition.
