#1868 Chinese Export "Butterfly and Flower" Pith Paper Painting, circa 1852 - 1863

A pith paper picture depicting butterflies and flowers painted in either Guangdong or Fujian province, southern China in the mid 19th Century

Unusually, a family tree diagram (taped  the back of the picture) indicates that it was acquired by a Captain John Yeo (b. 1823 d. 1863) who sailed between Fuzhou (Fujian province), Hong Kong and Liverpool during the early Victorian period.
