A bright orange mould-blown relief-textured bow-fronted "Nailhead" vase (pattern no. 9685 designedby Geoffrey Baxter for the Whitefriars Glassworks, Wealdstone, near Harrow, London. The selenium based "Tangerine" colour was difficult to control and consequently was only produced between the years 1967 to 1974. The bow-fronted nailhead shape was first produced in Tangerine in 1969.
