An exquisitely carved ivory umbrella handle depicting three monkeys at play. The base is signed. This item was made, circa 1890-1910, during the Meiji period.

Condition: There is the usual yellowing and age related cracks. The 'skeleton' of the umbrella is without fabric and this item is being sold either for renovation or for the handle.

11.2 inches (28.5cm) long.

一件雕刻精美的象牙伞柄,上有三只小猴在戏耍。底有署名。为日本明治时期约1890-1910年间的作品。
品相:因年代久远象牙有泛黄和开裂的迹象。伞骨架尚存,但伞布已失。长28.5厘米。2.2厘米见方。
