A rare wine ewer, with warming pot, depicting the famous Tang Dynasty "drunken" poet Li Bai (701 - 762), with one of his best known poems and another inscribed on the warmer. Both poems are signed by the same calligrapher. This item carries the reign mark of the Tongzhi emperor (1862 - 1874)but was probably made a little later during the Guangxu reign (1875-1908).

13.5 cm (5.3 inches)high;9 cm (3.5 inches) wide.
